Fishing Report for Aug 24th 2009
Monday is normally the day most people dread because it starts a new work week. I am just as guilty as the next for hating Mondays. Yesterday however was a really great Monday,I didn't have to work so I grab a pole and headed to the creek. Stewart Creek in Smyrna Tn,the Largemouth Bass moved into the creek following schools of Shad. Incredible display of bass working the top of the water. I caught several nice bass on spinnerbaits in a shad color. Topwater bite is good but wasn't the best bite. The best bite was the spinnerbait. The next time you are in the Smyrna area try fishing Stewart Creek for Largemouth Bass so real nice bass are hiding in this underfished beauty.

Bomber Lures quality Lures

Bomber lures have been around for a long time. They are some of the best quality lures for the money. The Model A,The Flat A,The square A are just a few in a long list of great crankbaits made by Bomber. I use alot of Flat A's and Model A's myself. The Bass are really hitting the Bomber Model A deep diver. These dive from 6 to 8 feet. Try tying on a Bomber crankbait the next time you are fishing your favorite water.

Bass Fishing with an old stand by Lure
In today's fishing circle there are a record number of lures to choose from. Most are great lures, but some times when it's hot and the fishing can be tough a fisherman needs to return to an old stand by . The Original Rapala,I used an F-11 today to catch 4 nice bass out of Stewart Creek. The Rapala doesn't have rattle's it doesn't suspend it just catches fish. When you get stumped on what to try tie on an original Rapala and have some fun.
